His own survey answers support taxpayer funding for abortion providers, same-sex civil marriage, universal background checks and red-flag laws, and higher taxes on those who can afford them.
- Life: On his iVoterGuide survey he strongly disagreed that life deserves legal protection from conception and supported taxpayer funding for abortion providers including Planned Parenthood.
- Family: Strongly disagreed that marriage is limited to one man and one woman and opposed a blanket rule keeping biological males out of women's sports.
- Religious liberty: Said neither individuals nor businesses should have a blanket right to refuse services on religious grounds, while protecting religious institutions.
- 2nd Amendment: Supports universal background checks, safe-storage requirements and extreme-risk (red-flag) protections.
- Limited gov’t: Strongly disagreed with eliminating the U.S. Department of Education; supports a government insurance option for all who want it.
- Fiscal: Strongly agreed that those who can afford it should pay more in taxes, while supporting spending cuts that spare family programs.
