Official ballot language
Under state law, the increase in the levy of the Town of Hudson for the tax to be imposed for the next fiscal year, 2027, is limited to 1.079%, which results in a levy of $1,314,542. Shall the Town of Hudson be allowed to exceed this limit and increase the levy for the next fiscal year, 2027, for the purpose of paying the increased costs of emergency services imposed by our contract with the City of Hudson, which has decided to add 9 full time firefighters and other associated expenses to reduce response times and provide improved emergency services, by a total of 37.474%, which results in a levy of $1,807,154, and on an ongoing basis, include the increase of $492,612 for each fiscal year going forward?
