Lincoln Township Fire and Rescue Millage Renewal Proposal

Millage Renewal with Increase0.35 mills5 years (2026–2030)est. $46,604/yr

Shall Lincoln Township impose an increase of up to .35 mills ($0.35 per $1000 of taxable value), in the tax limitation imposed under article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 5 years, 2026 through 2030 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for the operation, maintenance, equipment, apparatus, training and capital improvements of the Lincoln Township Fire department, raising an estimated $46,604.91 in the first year. Should this millage increase be approved?

YESA YES vote continues the existing levy of 0.35 mills for 5 years — generally no increase over what you pay now, plus the restored or added amount described.
NOA NO vote lets the current millage expire; the service it funds would need cuts or other revenue.

Mid Michigan College Charter Millage Proposal

Millage Restoration (Headlee Override)0.2929 millsPermanentest. $1,307,848/yr

Permanently restores 0.2929 mill of Mid Michigan College's Headlee-reduced charter millage (~$1.3M in 2027).

Cost to you: About $29/year per $100,000 of taxable value — permanent.

YESA YES vote raises the levy back to the originally authorized 0.2929 mills, overriding the Headlee Amendment rollback — this is a tax increase over the current rate.
NOA NO vote keeps the current, rolled-back rate in place.
Official ballot language

This proposal would restore Mid Michigan College's original millage, which has been reduced by the Headlee Amendment, and allow the college to levy on all taxable property the millage previously approved by the voters of the community college district. Shall the limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be assessed against all taxable property within the community college district of Mid Michigan College, Michigan, be increased by 0.2929 mill ($0.2929 on each $1,000 of taxable value) in perpetuity to provide funds for all authorized charter millage purposes specified within the power of the college’s board of trustees; the estimate of the revenue the college will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2027 is approximately $1,307,848 from the local taxes authorized in this proposal?
